New Deals old vid’s were insane tech,see how many crazy flips you can get on 1 trick and they’d let them spin and let the board hit the floor instead of  catching it. To make matter a lil worse, alot of this was during the Big Pants Small Wheels era, you think Skinny jeans are bad? they came along once the pendulum swung back from borrowing your dads size 42 pants when you’re a 32 to skate and wheels that were basically bearing covers. I mean 29mm-33mm?! Can you imagine riding that shit on your setup? 50mm to 55’s all the way. Then the pendulum swang the other way and the Philly dudes started rebelling and riding 56mm’s, rocking regular jeans,powerhouse and style over triple flip with under flip sexchange shit and ride 8 inch plus deck (best size decks ever, if your not rocking an 8 or higher, when your balls drop, you’ll be ready for that 8 inch plus big pimpng 7 ply ride.)  instead of the ultra tiny board, super baggy pants, a set of wheels so small you could fit all 4 in your mouth without risking a chocking threat. Those Philly dudes like Oyola, Reason, Sergie were beasting shit,go watch Sub Zero and Eastern Exposure 3 for amazing reference,(plus the longest and best Tim O’Connor part ever!) pretty sure the vids are on the link I posted. Those dudes and others beasted Philly in a way that wouldn’t be surpassed until Alien dropped Photosynthesis (Mayor McCheese Brian Wenning was a beast back then as well Popps, before he became the mini bench building Popps of today! Well I just went off on a tangent, skipping the main point, if you read all my ramblings you are a trooper and I salute you. I just went off on a history tangent and recommended some quality skate flicks. The point of this post is basically to say Nolan took it back to the New Deal Era, minus the big pants and the small wheels with a switch frontside noseslide on the low to high with either a crooked corner tap bounce flip out (Tech as fuck!!!!!) or he did kickflip out, he and Erik both didn’t know. Its in slow mo so you be the judge, either way Hermit got the tech shit as Forrestt Edwards would say “not really trying”
